Celebrate Constitution Day!
Celebrate the U.S. Constitution by joining us for the viewing of The Supreme Court: One Nation Under Law. This video explores the issues before the court from the aftermath of the Civil War through the 1930s. This was a time of major turbulence in U.S. race relations as well as a period of unprecedented economic growth as the nation industrialized. The rulings of the court during this tumultuous period would have major ramifications for the United States in the years to come.
Following the video will be a discussion of the Supreme Court led by Melinda Allen, Jeff McFadden, and other professors from Somerset Community College. Please join us to learn more about this mysterious and often ignored branch of our federal government.
