The Workforce Solutions Department at Somerset Community College (SCC) is offering an online, state-mandated continuing education course for master and journeyman electrical license holders.
The online course can be completed at any pace and payment is due only upon successful completion of the course. To register, email Valerie Hogan at Valerie.hogan@kctcs.edu with the following information: name, address, phone number, email address, birthday and license number.
Once this information is received, participants will be added to the course and sent a link with logon information. Once the course is completed with at least a 70% on the final exam, payment will be due in full. Cost for the course is $60.
After payment is received, participants will be mailed a certification of completion and continuing education credits will be submitted to the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction.
Additional continuing education classes available at SCC include electrical contractor, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HAVC), wastewater, insurance and plumbing.
