SCC Surgical Technology Program Graduates Achieve 100% First-Attempt Certification Pass Rate

Graduates of the Somerset Community College Surgical Technology Program for 2016 have achieved a 100 percent first-attempt pass rate on the national certification examination, according to Surgical Technology program coordinator Tammy Watters.

“This class has worked very hard throughout the year and I can’t say enough about how happy and proud I am of them,” said Watters. 

The class also participated in several community service events including a donation to the Bethany House, a donation to Gods Food Pantry and Roadside Pride Clean Up along Monticello Street. Graduate Tracy Denney of Yosemite also participated in an international mission trip to Guatemala with nursing instructor Valerie Allen and local surgeon Dr. Mark Henry of Somerset.
