In addition, three faculty members were recognized for completing the Master Trainer Certificate program from the KCTCS Leading Educator Academy. Mandy Davis, instructional specialist in the SCC Learning Commons, Carol Calcaterra, assistant professor of business and Bruce Gover, dean of academic support, were recognized for the accomplishment. Davis, Calcaterra and Gover all participated in the academy, which seeks to encourage new and innovative teaching and facilitation approaches, and develop facilitators who can share these teaching approaches with their colleagues across KCTCS. They are the first SCC representatives to complete the new program.
