Somerset Community College (SCC) Theatre & Film is now accepting submissions to the ninth annual Autumn Shorts Film Festival. Films should be less than fifteen minutes in length.
The SCC Autumn Shorts Film Festival occurs each September and features short films from the local region, state and around the world. It is one of the fastest growing events of SCC’s Theatre & Film season.
To find out how to submit a film to the festival, contact SCC Theatre Director Steve Cleberg by email at Steve.Cleberg@kctcs.edu. There is no submission fee.
Over the next six months, Cleberg will be doing the initial screening of an expected 200 short film submissions. From these screenings, Cleberg will select around twenty shorts to be judged by the Autumn Shorts Film Festival jury. Special juried awards will be given for outstanding achievement.
The Autumn Shorts Film Festival is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, September 14 and 15, 2017 in SCC’s Stoner Little Theatre on the SCC Somerset North Campus. During the two-day event, participants will view home-grown and international films. The audience will be given a chance to vote for their favorite film at the end of each evening’s selections. The festival also provides “question and answer” sessions with any visiting filmmaker in order to give those in attendance insight into the artistic process of filmmaking.
Regular updates regarding the film festival can be found on Facebook at “Autumn Shorts Film Festival.”
