Three Somerset Community College Welding Technology students are recipients of scholarships from the Lexington Section of American Welding Society (AWS). James Phelps of Somerset, KY, Aaron Foster of Liberty, KY, and Trent Foley of Columbia, KY each received a $500.00 Woodrow Scott scholarship during the quarterly meeting of the Lexington Section AWS, held on September 26. The scholarship is named in honor of the founder of the Scott-Gross Welding Supply Company, located in Lexington, KY.
