The Introduction to Voice Acting Class offered at Somerset Community College on Wednesday, November 6, will open the door to just that opportunity. Today, people just like you use their voices professionally for commercials, audio books, training videos, educational material, the Internet and more. Getting Paid to Talk is an adult education class taught by the voice acting professionals from Voice Coaches, an industry leader in voice acting training with students all over the country.
During this two and a half hour (6:30-9:00 p.m.) non-credit class, students from every walk of life will learn what it takes to become a professional voice actor. From the basics of getting started, all the way through working in the studio, recording a demo, and landing jobs, the experts will thoroughly introduce you to this exciting field. Class attendees will even have an opportunity to record a mock commercial under the direction of a Voice Coaches producer. Regardless of your motivation, Getting Paid to Talk is a great first step for anyone curious about the professional voice acting field.
