Three Welding students from Somerset Community College (SCC) were awarded cash scholarships from the Lexington section of the American Welding Society (AWS).
Ashley Phelps, of Somerset, William Spencer, of Monticello, and Brian Crow, of Russell Springs, were awarded $300 scholarships from the Woodrow Scott Memorial Scholarship fund. Woodrow Scott was the founder of the Scott-Gross Company.
